Dan Smyth
Dan Smyth is a Fort Wayne-based musician and songwriter known for balancing collaboration and singular vision. As a member of local mainstay The Legendary Trainhoppers, he helps craft jangly Americana pop, but his solo work veers into more eccentric territory, outsider pop colored by art rock, psychedelia, and dark melodic instincts. Working closely with producer Jason Davis at Off The Cuff Sound, Smyth’s recordings carry a warm, lived-in quality.
His LP Eye Dream marks a bold, creative statement: moodier, more experimental, and less concerned with traditional pop structure. Built on heavy bass, dreamlike textures, and adventurous arrangements, the album showcases Smyth fully embracing his curiosity and ambition. Eye Dream stands as a singular, fearless work, the album Smyth was always meant to make.
