Learn more about the Jensen’s Marina experience and everything the Captiva marina has to offer!
Did you know that Jensen’s Marina was initially formed back in the 1950s when the Jensen Family purchased the land sight unseen when they lived in Michigan? In 1973, they came to visit the land for the first time and fell in love with Captiva Island and their slice of island heaven.
Within three years, the Jensens had a marina, a cottage and more. Soon, they purchased more land to also acquire what is now Jensen’s Twin Palms Resort and Marina. Before long, the Jensen brothers decided to move to Captiva Island permanently and run the marina.
Today, the marina offers everything from boat rentals to fishing and Captiva island tours and more.
So what exactly is Old Florida at Jensen’s Marina? It’s a postcard scene from a long time ago nestled on an island with historic wooden cottages and tiki huts for shade. The first cottage was built in 1928 and still stands today.
It’s also a place where even stars want to come visit and unwind, including the likes of Danny Devito, Ted Turner, Rob Lowe, Kevin Costner and more!
